Election 2017 - Fort Madison Mayor - Brad Randolph

Oct 20, 2017

Two people are running for Mayor of Fort Madison: incumbent Brad Randolph and challenger Chris Sorrentino. Randolph said he wants to remain in office so he can continue to be part of the effort that he believes is moving Fort Madison forward.

Randolph said he's pleased with the direction of the city given recent infrastructure improvements and economic development wins. He points to the addition of a new grocery store, the expansion of a relatively new hotel, and the ongoing realignment of the 27th Street intersection as recent examples.

Randolph became mayor through appointment in 2012 and has won a couple elections since.  He said if re-elected to another two-year term, he would continue to focus on economic development and public infrastructure. He said he works every day to try to move Fort Madison forward and will continue to do so.

Randolph describes himself as a good listener, adding that he believes the city has been quite transparent with residents and that he hopes residents trust that city leaders are working on their behalf every day.

Early voting is underway ahead in Fort Madison of the November 7 general election.
