Macomb, IL – Rich Egger's guests are Deb Miretzky and Ron Pettigrew of Western Illinois University. They talk about the upcoming series "Difficult Conversations."

The series will provide a chance for the campus community to discuss issues of diversity and difference. All of the informal discussions are free and open to the public.

Each of the conversations will take place in the Lamoine Room of the WIU University Union. They begin at 3:30pm.

The topic for the first one, on September 28, is Prejudice We Sometimes Find Easy to Identify in Others But Difficult to Identify in Ourselves.

Three other "Difficult Conversations" are scheduled. The topic on November 9 is University Policies and Intercultural Cooperation; the topic on February 16 is Challenging and Salvaging Situations in the Face of Biased Remarks; and the topic on March 28 is Talking About Prejudice (Racism, Sexism, and Heterosexism) Directly and Candidly.
