Timm Lamb: Expand Vo-Tech

Incumbent Timm Lamb says he is seeking a second term on the Fort Madison School Board so he can provide more opportunities for students.

"Some of the things that are going on right now," says Lamb, "I want to see them to fruition.

Lamb is one of seven candidates for three open seats on the Fort Madison School Board.

He has a deep connection to the school district as both he and his wife are retired teachers.

Lamb says their children also graduated from FMHS, with one now working for the district.

He says he is proud of the fact that the district’s foundation has been restarted and that more computers will soon be available in more classrooms.

“We are not going with the 1-to-1 like other districts,” says Lamb, “but I think that we have a really good policy for getting computers in the classroom so all of our kids will have access to the computers.”

Lamb says one of his top priorities, if re-elected, will be to add more courses for students who may not be interested in a four-year college.
