On Friday December 13th, we kicked off the 12 Days of Public Radio, and we’d love for you to join the celebration! Day One
On the first day of the 12 Days of Public Radio, we celebrate the place where news, culture, and curiosity meet. Tri States Public Radio feeds your curiosity with thoughtful, in-depth information that broadens your knowledge, connects you to your community, and celebrates culture and music every day. Day Two
On the second day of Public Radio, we’re celebrating news. TSPR brings you 2 hours of live news coverage during Morning Edition each weekday. Mike Murray is behind the mic Monday through Friday from 7 to 9, providing the essential information you need to start your day. Join us in celebrating the 12 Days of Public Radio by sharing a favorite news story or supporting our local news team with a donation by clicking the donate button at the top of the page.

Day Three
On the third day of public radio, we celebrate Tri States Public Radio’s service to Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri. In addition to national and world coverage, we bring you news that matters most to our region—from stories by Harvest Public Media highlighting rural issues, to statehouse coverage from all three states. Day Four
On the fourth day of Public Radio Days, TSPR brings you four locally produced music programs: Ovation, After Hours, and Music from the Tri-States, hosted by Ken Zahnle, and Folk Weekend, hosted by Kyra Dean. They share their passion for music and knowledge with YOU and all TSPR listeners through our thoughtfully curated shows. Day Five
On the 5th day of our 12 Days of Public Radio celebration. While we may not have 5 golden rings, we do have 5 educational lunch breaks! Every weekday at noon, TSPR offers a program to inform and entertain you. No one does it better than public radio. Day Six
On the sixth day of public radio days, TSPR gives you six days of Fresh Air. Fresh Air is one of Public Radios most popular programs, from Terry Gross’s legendary interview style to reviews of new books, movies and TV shows. Day Seven
On the seventh day of public radio days, TSPR offers you seven on-demand music programs each week. We record and archive two weeks' worth of Ovation, After Hours, and Folk Weekend, so that you can catch up on any episodes you missed or re-listen to your favorites. Day Eight
On the eighth day of public radio, TSPR’s highlights its 8 dedicated staff members. We don’t like to toot our own horn so we will let the Dean of our College, Billy Clow, share his thoughts. On the ninth day of public radio, TSPR brings you 9 hours of infotainment programming each weekend, with shows like Live Wire, Wait Wait... Don’t Tell Me, Bullseye, Travel with Rick Steves, and The Splendid Table. TSPR offers you the perfect opportunity to unwind, enjoy captivating storytelling, and stimulate your mind—just the way public radio does best. On the tenth day of public radio, TSPR celebrates 10 hours of All Things Considered each week. Debuting in 1971, All Things Considered was NPR’s first news program, bringing you a mix of hard-hitting news, insightful interviews, heartwarming stories, and answers to those questions you’ve always wondered about (you know the ones). Its commitment to excellence has kept it on the air for over 50 years, but it’s only with the support of listeners like you.
