All LGBT+ members and allies are welcome to attend an LGBT+ Empowerment Group in Macomb hosted by Western Illinois Regional Council - Community Action Agency (WIRC-CAA) Victim Services. Becky Cox-Medina, Domestic Violence Legal Advocate, and Brittany Schisler, Sexual Assault Children’s Counselor, formed the group to provide a place for support, resources, and conversation in a safe and confidential setting.
The first group meeting will be held on Saturday, August 4 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the City Hall Community Room, 232 East Jackson Street, in Macomb. Subsequent group gatherings will be held every other Saturday at the same time. Beverages and snacks will be provided.
