The WIU Sustainability Committee and WIU Catering by Sodexo are hosting a Farm 2 Fork dinner in the Heritage Room of the University Union. We are raising money to install solar-powered lighting and charging stations at a bus stop in town that is frequented by both local patrons and WIU students.
Appetizers - Bacon Popcorn, Cheddar Basil Bites, Fruit Bruschetta
Salad - Kale Salad with Honey Vinaigrette
Entree - Your choice of Chicken Roulade, Grilled Pork Chops, or Vegetarian Stuffed Peppers
Sides- Au Gratin Potatoes and Roasted Vegetables
Dessert - Apple Crisp with Cinnamon Whipped Cream
Drinks - Infused Cucumber Mint Water and Chilled Apple Cider Punch
The food is being locally sourced through the Macomb Food Co-op. Local vendors will be showcasing their products. WIU students will be assisting with all aspects of this event including meal prep, cooking, serving, and presenting.
