Put your baking skills and creativity to work in the Mark Twain Museum's 3rd Annual Gingerbread Contest and Display!
A delectable display of Gingerbread Houses will be on display in the Museum Gallery Window this Holiday Season with voting by People’s Choice to be held during the Victorian Festival of Christmas' Living Windows on December 12th from 5 - 8 pm.
Enter your Gingerbread House design in the Museum's 3rd Annual Gingerbread Competition co-sponsored by Hannibal's Walmart and County Market stores. Prizes will be awarded to the winners in each of three categories! Children up to age 12 can enter the Child's Division. Those ages 13 and older can enter the Adult Category or enter your decorated Gingerbread House from a pre-made kit accompanied by proof of purchase in the Kit Category. Prizes will be awarded to winners in each of the three categories.
All houses must be created with gingerbread and edible materials. Bases should be no larger than 12" by 18" and may be constructed using cardboard, foam core or 1/2' plywood. Interior supports, if needed, may consist of straws, toothpicks, small dowels, spaghetti or candy canes.
Drop off your edible creation at the Museum Gallery, 120 N. Main Street, now through December 11th between the hours of 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. One Gingerbread House per person with entry form will be allowed. No entry fee required.
Gingerbread Houses will be on display to the public in the Museum Gallery window at 120 N. Main through January 4th. All entries to be picked up at the Museum Gallery by December 4th. Houses will be discarded after January 4th.
It's the perfect way to kick off the Holiday Season!
