Effective Tuesday, November 17, the Burlington Public Library is temporarily suspending in-building services in response to increased community spread of COVID-19.
Many services continue to be available.
Curbside Library can be used to checkout items, make copies, send a fax, print a document, or request scanning.
Reference and technology support continues to be available by phone, email, or social media messaging.
The Digital Library at www.burlington.lib.ia.us is always open with downloadable books, audiobooks, and magazines, streaming video and music, research tools, resume help, language learning, and more. For virtual learners, Brainfuse HelpNow offers free one-on-one online tutoring.
For users who don’t have a library card, Digital Library Cards are available to access the Digital Library resources. Current cardholders can use their card and pin numbers to access the Digital Library or call the library staff team for assistance.
The library catalog at www.burlington.lib.ia.us allows cardholders to request specific items for curbside checkout. Librarians are also available to provide suggestions or create bags of materials to fit a reader’s needs.
Take and Make Kits are available curbside to compliment the library’s virtual programs and classes.
Returns can be made through the outside book return accessed from the Main Street entrance.
The library staff members are ready to assist from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday - Thursday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday by phone, email, or social media.
