A Fort Madison man was arrested over the weekend in connection with a series of armed robberies of gas stations in Burlington. Davon Mozie, 19, faces three counts of 2nd degree armed robbery.
Burlington police said they responded to two different Gasland locations a total of three times during a seven-day period (April 9-16). They said their investigation led them to Mozie, who they allege entered each store, displayed a handgun, and left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No injuries were reported.
Mozie is being housed in the Des Moines County jail on $10,000 bond.
Each charge against him carries a maximum sentence of ten years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
