A McDonough County man is accused of seriously injuring his child.
The sheriff’s department said Travis Hammond, age 37 of rural Bushnell, was arrested January 23.
His bond is $250,000 on charges of Aggravated Battery to a Child and Endangering the Life/Health of a Child.
The sheriff’s department said it was called to McDonough District Hospital on January 16 regarding an infant with serious and suspicious head injuries.
The child is now being treated at OSF St Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
