The Galesburg and Keokuk police departments worked together on an investigation that led to the arrests of two men on burglary charges. Both suspects are from Galesburg.
Dale Knajdek, 44, of 1432 East Knox Street, is charged with:
- Burglary and Theft of a Motor Vehicle
- Burglary to a Place of Worship
- Possession of Stolen Property
Charges against Knajdek are pending in Keokuk.
Justin Dykeman, 24, also of 1432 East Knox Street, is charged with:
- Burglary to a Place of Worship
Galesburg police said $9,000 in automotive equipment was stolen from Haneghan’s Auto Service in Galesburg on January 13. A vehicle was also taken.
The next day, a vehicle and other items were taken from Keokuk Nazarene Church in Keokuk. And on January 16, items were stolen and damaged at First Christian Church in Galesburg.
Galesburg police said they executed a search warrant at the men’s home on January 16 and recovered some of the stolen items.
Other items were recovered in Keokuk, where police found the vehicle stolen from Haneghan’s.
