Two men who were living in Macomb while working on construction of the Flanagan South oil pipeline have been reported missing.

The men are Juan Bustamante, 65, and Francisco Villa, 43.

Police said they received a 911 call Thursday evening from the men’s roommate.  That person said there was blood inside their home at 1513 E Murray St and that there might have been a disturbance.

The men’s possessions were also missing from the home.

Police said Bustamante’s vehicle was later found in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

Villa’s vehicle has not been found.  It’s a 2001 Volkswagen Passat with the Wyoming registration 5-32139.

Investigators from the Macomb Police Department, the McDonough County Sheriff’s Department, and Illinois State Police spent much of the day Friday at the house.

Flanagan South will carry heavy Canadian oil from Alberta across several states. The line will begin in Illinois.
