SCC Announces Presidential Finalists

The Board of Trustees for Southeastern Community College (SCC) has revealed the three finalists in its search for a new college president.

They are Dr. Michael Ash, Dr. Keith Cornille and Dr. Dale Doty.

Dr. Ash currently serves as Executive Assistant to the President for Resource Development and External Affairs at State Fair Community College in Sedalia, MO.

Dr. Cornille is the Vice Presdent of Student Development at Madison College in Madison, Wisconsin.

Dr. Doty's position is as Vice President of Academic Affairs at Florence-Darlington Technical College in Florence, South Carolina.

SCC received 29 applications from candidates interested in replacing Dr. Beverly Simone, who announced her retirement in April.

The Board of Trustees will interview two candidates (Doty & Cornille) on Monday, July 30 and the third (Ash) on Tuesday, July 31.

Open forums for SCC faculty and staff along with members of the general public will also have an opportunity to meet the candidates.

Dr. Doty - July 30 - 9:00 to 10:00 A.M.

Dr. Cornille - July 30 - 2:00 to 3:00 P.M.

Dr. Ash - July 31 - 2:00 to 3:00 P.M.

 

Public Forums - Keokuk Campus - Room 511

Dr. Cornille - July 30 - 9:00 to 10:00 A.M.

Dr. Doty - July 30 - 1:00 to 2:00 P.M.

Dr. Ash - July 31 - 9:00 to 10:00 A.M.

 

Once the candidate interviews and public forums have concluded on Tuesday, July 31, the Board of Trustees will host a public input session in its West Burlington boardroom.  The public is invted to attend the event, which is expected to get underway at about 5:30 P.M.

Dr. Simone will continue to serve as SCC's President until the search process has been completed.
