Sheriff: 3 Dead in Apparent Double Murder/Suicide near Danville, IA

The Des Moines County Sheriff's Office said the deaths of three people in a home near Danville are being treated as a double murder/suicide.

Sheriff Mike Johnstone identified the victims as Wanda Dowell, 63, of Palmetto, Fl. and Tiffany Inghram, 36. Their bodies were found in Inghram's home.

Johnstone said the suspect is Robert Inghram, 60, of Mediapolis. Inghram is also listed as the owner of the home at 14733 Lynx Road according to Des Moines County's GIS website.

Deputies arrived at the home shortly before 5:00 p.m. Friday after receiving a report of domestic violence. They said the person who made the complaint was already outside the home, but heard gunshots.

Inside, the deputies discovered three people with multiple gunshot wounds. All were pronounced dead at the scene.

Robert Inghram was arrested in early March for alleged sexual abuse of a minor.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting local authorities.
