Snake Alley

Hundreds of people filled downtown Burlington Friday night for the unveiling of the Downtown Burlington Lightscape Project. Organizers says it was the culmination of five years of hard work and a sign of what's to come for the district.

The 5th Annual Snake Alley Festival of Film is scheduled for June 23-25 at the Capitol Theater in downtown Burlington. As the event has grown, so has Tadd Good's role.

One of the extra events during the annual Snake Alley Criterium in Burlington also involves a climb up a steep alley.  But unlike Snake Alley's winding path, this alley challenges riders with a straight climb of 60 feet over a single city block.

The Snake Alley Art Fair in Burlington started 45 years ago with just a few people selling work. They hung their art on snow fence that was set up along what's been called the most crooked street in the world.

This year the fair drew around 100 artists who set up booths not just on Snake Alley but also on the adjacent Heritage Hill streets.

They were joined by musicians, food and drink vendors, and thousands of art lovers looking to connect with a painting or a piece of jewelry or some other work of art.
