Down sub transmission line causes widespread power outages in Warren, Henderson counties

Widespread power outages in Warren and Henderson counties are the result of a down sub transmission line outside a substation in Abingdon.

Three outages have occurred in the last two days, including Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Monday morning.

As of noon Monday, more than 3,500 customers in Monmouth were without power due to an outage that began around 9:30 a.m.

An Ameren spokesperson told TSPR the same customers are being impacted by the multiple outages, though some customers have been switched to another circuit.
