Macomb, IL – Former pornstar Ron Jeremy told a crowded audience at WIU how he got into the industry and why he wants to move into mainstream films. Jeremy has left the porn industry, but says he's finding restrictions in his efforts to move to regular movies. He says he will never be cast into a recurring role on television. However, he finds younger directors intrigued with his notoriety. He has been a voice in several animated cartoons and in video games. Jeremy says the next major expansion of pornography could be downloads onto cell phones. However, he says that will not become widespread in the U.S. until there's some form of age verification.
