Havana, IL – Plans for a public dock at Havana have brought in business inquiries. Economic Developer Terry Svob says the city is working with Sunrise Ag on a bulk plant, dry cargo facilities and a dock which would be partly for public use. He says since it became known that the dock was to be built, he's had five inquiries from businesses that might be interested in moving to or expanding in the town. The dock will be part of a Tax Increment Financing District that will also include improved road and rail access to the industrial part of Havana along the river.
