Iowa Values Fund to be Audited

Keokuk, IA – One of the Democratic candidates for governor in Iowa is glad the Iowa Values Fund is being audited because he believes the program is not working. State Representative Ed Fallon believes State Auditor David Vaudt will find a lot of problems during his investigation. The audit is expected to determine how many jobs the Values Fund has actually created. Fallon says the state should stop handing out money to large businesses. Fallon says the large sums of money going to or offered to large companies would be better used by cities and counties trying to develop infrastructure and create jobs. He says Iowa also needs a statewide revolving loan fund to help small businesses get the financial boost they need. Fallon made his comments during a campaign stop in Keokuk.
