Bushnell, IL – Bushnell city leaders and ESDA Director Mary Brown are adding evacuation provisionsin their update of the city's emergency plan. Mayor Steve Russell says should an evacuation become necessary ... the town has been told that Go West and the bus contractors for Macomb and Bushnell school districts will have buses available. Russell says Brown is also updating the plan to include what equipment or supplies that local contractors might have available for rescue or clean-up work. Russell says once the emergency plan is complete, the group will begin working on a hazardous materials section to be added to the basic plan. Russell says that's needed because of the high volume of rail freight that passes through the town.
