Aldermen Focus on Underused Park

Bushnell, IL – Bushnell aldermen want to bring more users to the city's Bicentennial Park. Mayor Steve Russell says block-square facility has few users and has had little maintenance. He says the council's recreation committee is working on possible ways to improve the park. He says the restoration of a baseball diamond and a tennis court has been suggested. Another proposal would be creation of a hiking trail with exercise stations. He hopes to finance the improvement with a combination of city funds and donations.
