Macomb, IL – McDonough County State's Attorney James Hoyle says numerous possibilities are being reviewed by investigators looking into the death of a young girl. Hoyle says representatives from five agencies are sifting through all the tips coming in about the case. Five-year old Silven Yocum of rural Industry passed away Saturday, about one week after she was initially taken to the hospital. An autopsy found she died from blunt force trauma to the back of the head. Hoyle says the case is being treated as a criminal investigation, but he's asking the public to be patient and not jump to any conclusions. Hoyle says many of the initial reports of injuries have been refuted - though he declined to elaborate because of the ongoing investigation.
