Rushville, IL – Rushville aldermen plan to borrow from one of their revenue accounts to help pay the unexpected cost of a new water well. Mayor Ron Shepherd says the bids came in at almost double the estimated cost. He says borrowing from the revenue funds can be repaid with a recent 10-percent increase in water and sewer rates. He says the borrowed money will be repaid with five percent interest. He says that will allow drilling the well to start this year.
