Macomb, IL – Both Fulton and McDonough County Boards are beginning to look into creating the post of county manager or administrator. McDonough County board member LeRoy Brown says he was pushing for the idea four years ago, and has brought it up again. Fulton County board chairman Ed Ketcham says the days are past when a multi-million dollar business like a county can be run by a part-time committee. Ketcham has formed an ad-hoc committee of county board members and elected officers to research the idea.
