Rushville, IL – The street committee chairwoman of the Rushville city council wants to push forward with plans to refurbish the town's brick paving on the downtown square. Karen Diseron says the town can get a federal grant to cover 80 percent of the cost, but the town would have to provide the 20 percent, along with upgrading the water lines that would be buried beneath the paving. Diseron says maintaining the bricks would help keep the ambiance of the square, as well as being very durable.
