Nauvoo, IL – Nauvoo-Colusa school district voters will have a chance to increase the education fund tax rate by almost one-third this April. Superintendent Kent Young says the district will lost about $400,000 in state aid next year with the loss of 95 students from Dallas city. Those students will be attending a newly-converged district. Young says his district has made cuts, and with the approximately $200,000 the tax is expected to bring in, the district should stay solvent.
