Nauvoo, IL – While 2 Hancock County school districts will continue exploring reorganization, they will not go any further than that at this time. The Warsaw and Nauvoo-Colusa school districts are not ready to form a committee of 10 or to place a reorganization question on the November ballot. The school boards held a joint meeting several days after the Hamilton School Board publicly called for both actions. Nauvoo-Colusa Superintendent, Kent Young, says his district must operate under a wait-and-see stance... at least until after residents vote on a tax hike in April. The increase would help the district make up for the loss of revenue that will occur when Dallas City's high school students leave next year.
