Macomb, IL – McDonough County will investigate joining a risk pool as a way of cutting its more than $1 million yearly insurance costs. Finance Committee chairwoman Alice Henry says Board Chairman Scott Schwerer had recommend the idea after his positive experience with risk pool for townships. Henry says a representative from the Counties of Illinois Risk Management Agency will be invited to a future meeting to explain the proposal.
