Canton, IL – An administrator's report to the Spoon River College board suggests that four career programs might be eliminiated. Spokeswoman Anna Buehrer says the college conducted a study of what training employers were looking for, and how successful the students who took the courses have been. Programs that might be eliminated include administrative office technology, automotive technology, computer information services and electronics technology. Buehrer says the boad will hold a special meeting later this month to discuss the proposed cuts, and to consider what programs should be added.
