Macomb, IL – Macomb's Chamber of Commerce Transportation Committee needs to decide in which direction it wants the next major highway construction. Chairman Bruce Biagini says the town now has four-lane roads going north and west. He wants a study done to see whether going south on 67 to Alton, or east on 336 to Peoria would have the greatest economic benefit. He'll ask the Chamber to commission such a study, possibly through W.I.U. In addition, Biagini says he wants a way of polling residents to see which route would best serve their needs.
