Macomb, IL – The Macomb school district met or exceeded state standards for the 2006 school year. Assistant Superintendent Maria Dunstan outlined results of the Illinois Standards Achievement Test and the Prairie State Achievement Examination to the school board. She says one result of the testing will be an emphasis on continuing to teach reading at all grade levels to help students read for content. The district will not need to face any remediation as part of the federal No Child Left Behind program.
