Macomb, IL – McDonough County's ESDA Director believes everything is in place for spring's severe weather. Dan Kreps says almost 160 people attended storm spotter training in two sessions earlier this month. He says the weather radar located on the WIU campus is functioning. However, he's waiting for some upgrades to both the hardware and software. He says the hardware additions will make it possible to make repairs in the future. He says the current configuraton has no spare parts available should something break down. The $41,000 cost of the upgrade will be split among the City of Macomb, the county, and WIU.
