Keokuk, IA – Keokuk may speed up its multi-year, multi-million dollar street repair program. Timberline Drive and S. 14th St., from Ridge St. to S. 16th St., will soon go out for bids as the city's year 2 projects. The streets subcommittee is considering adding one more project to the list: North 16th St., from Main to Morgan. Chairman Gary Stepp says that stretch is a top priority because that is how the ambulance gets to the hospital. He says the subcommittee will continue to mix together residential and high-traffic routes. One project under consideration for year 3 is N. 15th St., from Fulton to Orleans.
