Lewistown, IL – This half hour documentary features the musicians who performed at the first Hickory Ridge Roots Music Festival at Dickson Mounds Museum near Lewistown. It includes performances by Robin and Linda Willams and their Fine Group, the Don Stiernberg Trio, Bill Robinson & Friends, Bucky Halker with Don Stiernberg, The Dorians, and Chris Vallillo. You'll also learn what the phrase "roots music" means to each of the musicians. The documentary originally aired in September 2006. It won First Place for Best Series/Documentary in the Downstate Radio division of the Illinois Associated Press Broadcasters Association Journalism Excellence Contest.
