Macomb, IL – Voters in Macomb's new second ward will choose their alderman in the April 17 election. The thing is, though, no one filed in time to get their name on the ballot. But one person has filed to run as a write-in candidate. That person is Edward Lavin. He's 58 and works at WIU's physical plant. Lavin sat down with News Director Rich Egger to talk about issues such as housing, the TIF district, and the city's legal counsel. He also explained how to cast a write-in vote.
