Keokuk, IA – Teams are forming for the 10th annual Bowl for Kids' Sake in Keokuk. The event will take place May 18 and May 19 at Arrowhead Bowl in Keokuk. Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Great River Area Executive Director, Cynthia Bergman, says the goal for this year's event is $50,000 and 100 participating teams. During the kick-off event, about 20 kids got to bowl a few frames. To get the fundraising underway, each child had a sponsor who agreed to pay $1 for every pin knocked down. Bergman says there are more than 60 local kids in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, with more children on a waiting list.
