Keokuk, IA – Keokuk's entire health care community could soon start working together to improve service and efficiency. Keokuk has a wide variety of service providers, including a hospital, senior care facilities, clinics, specialists, mental health services, equipment suppliers, and counselors. Keokuk Area Hospital CEO, Al Zastrow, says that kind of diversity is rare among cities the size of Keokuk. He says a by-product of so many services is a reduction in communication and coordination between providers. Zastrow says talks are underway to create a medical coalition or network that links all the providers in Keokuk.
