Macomb, IL – It seems the whole world is becoming more concerned about environmental issues. It's no different in the world of rock, where bands such as Guster are speaking out about the environment.
Guster and The Format are currently touring colleges and universities across the country as part of their Campus Consciousness tour. The tour's message is simple: we need to protect our planet.
That tour brought the bands to WIU, where concert-goers could check out the Shift Consciousness Pavilion, which provided information about how to get involved.
Reporter Alex Degman talked to Guster guitarist and vocalist Adam Gardner during the stop at Western. Gardner and his wife founded the non-profit organization Reverb, which tries to use the connection between bands and their fans to spread environmental awareness and action.
