Rushville, IL – Rushville aldeermen have adopted an about $3.1 million appropriation ordinace for the city's new fiscal year.
Mayor Scott Thompson. says new major expenses will be few. He says there's money included for a new squad car, a utility truck and computer hardware and software for city hall.
However, he says aldermen plan to hold down spending until they learn when the approximately $225,000 in property taxes will be paid to the city.
Thompson says the appropriation ordinance will always be for more than expected spending. That's so if revenue increases for an unforseen reason, the city will be able to use it for its programs.
