Henry County, IA – The state will help fund a major project at a Southeast Iowa state park.
The Department of Economic Development will provide $350,000 dollars to build a new public beach shelter and two playgrounds at Lake Geode State Park.
Southeast Iowa State Parks Supervisor Tom Basten says the 150-person beach house will include restrooms and a kitchen area.
He says the playgrounds, which will be for different age brackets, will both be handicapped-accessible.
