Keokuk, IA – Illinois' junior US Senator says his presidential campaign is focusing on more than just fundraising.
Barack Obama has made news in recent days by bringing in tens of millions of dollars as he seeks the Democratic Nomination for President.
While he is proud of the success he is having, Obama says he is even more proud of the number of people donating to the campaign, especially those giving less than $100.
The Senator says the money is only helpful if he can build up grass roots support and a volunteer base.
Obama told several hundred supporters about his goals for health care, the economy, energy policies, and education during a stop in Keokuk this afternoon.
He will spend the rest of today and all of tomorrow campaigning in Iowa.
