Warsaw, IL – Residents of two Hancock County school districts will decide, early next year, if the schools should reorganize.
The Nauvoo-Colusa and Warsaw school boards have called for a special election to be held February 5th.
Voters will be asked to approve a deactivation proposal that would send all elementary and high school students to Warsaw and all middle school students to Nauvoo.
Warsaw Superintendent Kim Schilson says the school boards are now working on issues such as curriculum and transportation.
Schilson says the residents of both school districts must approve the deactivations for the 2008-2009 school year.
She says the Nauvoo-Colusa and Warsaw school boards will hold their next joint meeting September 10th.
