Fort Madison, IA – A new assisted living facility in Fort Madison could be finished in 10 to 12 months.
City and business leaders broke ground at the corner of 48th and Bluff.
Developer James Elliott says the 46 unit, 50 bed facility will include studio, 1 & 2 bedroom apartments for those who need a little help with day-to-day activities.
He says condominium town-homes will also be built on the lot next to the assisted living facility.
Elliott says the projects will open up the neighborhood to future development.
