Macomb, IL – Dave Maguire is the new executive director of the McDonough County chapter of the American Red Cross.
He is a trustee of Spoon River College and was on the Illinois Community College Board.
Maguire says he plans to work with the board on strategic planning to see where the chapter should be in three or six months.
He will also continue mandated functions such as blood collection and disaster relief.
He will also continue educational and military service programs.
He says the McDonough County chapter also has a heavy involvement in senior citizen transportation using both buses and vans.
A life-long Macomb resident, Maguire has been president of the McDonough County Board of Health and is a businessman who operates commercial property.
Until recently he was the Executive director of Delta Upsilon International Fraternity.
He replaces Jan Kinman of Colchester, who served 18 years as executive director.
