Warsaw, IL – Warsaw residents are free to resume their regular water usage.
A problem with the water plant's intake led to the call to conserve water.
Water Superintendent Joe Samuels says a large diesel pump and several smaller pumps are now moving enough water into the plant to provide service to the entire city.
He says this process could be in place for a month, so the conservation notice could resume if something goes wrong.
Samuels believes some debris either clogged or damaged the water plant intake.
It could be another week before divers can get into the Mississippi River to see what happened and several more weeks to make any repairs.
