Montrose, IA – The Lee County Economic Development Group has re-started the search for a new business director.
Board Chairman Mike Holtkamp says the panel's top choice rejected LCEDG's job offer and decided to stay in Indiana.
Instead of offering the job to the #2 candidate, he says the process will start over with advertising in trade magazines and publications already underway.
Holtkamp say the job description for the post of business director will remain the same and the search will remain a national effort.
Holtkamp says L-C-E-D-G would consider hiring a consultant if this new search process does not yield any quality candidates.
The business director would essentially replace former executive director Lowell Junkins.

* Junkins has now severed all ties with LCEDG.
* LCEDG's Yvonne Knapp was one of the three finalists during the first search process.
* She is currently acting director handling day-to-day activities for the organization.
