Keokuk, IA – The Big River United Way has set a lofty goal for its up-and-running 2008 fundraising campaign.
The organization works with non-profit agencies in Lee, Hancock, and Clark Counties. Big River United Way raised around $125,000 last year.
Executive Director Ivy Tuck says this year's goal is $150,000 over the next 2-3 months.
She says 16 agencies received funding last year.
The list includes the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Tri State Coaltion Against Domestic and Sexual Abuse.
