Keokuk, IA – Iowa voters will go to the polls on Tuesday to decide who should serve on the boards of education for their local school districts.
4 of the 7 seats on the Keokuk School Board are up for grabs.
Three candidates are vying to fill a shortened term on the panel.
The winner, on September 11, will serve out the final two years in the term of the late Dr. Tom Wemette.
He died two months after being elected to the board last September.
His replacement, Brian Richardson, chose not to enter the race to keep the seat.
Three candidates did file to run: Wilson Davis, Alka Khanolkar, and Kyle Sturms.
All three have children who have gone or are going through the school district.
