Keokuk, IA – A small number of people will be able to own their own copy of one of the Keokuk Public Library's rare books.
The Keokuk Public Library Foundation is republishing the 1928 book, The Adventures of Thomas Jefferson Snodgrass by Mark Twain, also known as Samuel Clemens.
375 copies of the book were originally published.
This time around, 500 will be published.
Library Director Emily Rohlfs says the books are being put together in Denmark, Iowa.
The Adventures of Thomas Jefferson Snodgrass contains three letters written by Clemens for the Keokuk Daily Post in the 1850's.
Rohlfs says the books will cost about $50 a piece and should be available before December.
