Fort Madison, IA – Fort Madison's mayor says bringing in new jobs is the main reason he's running for another two-year term in office.
Steve Ireland says his experience in crafting city budgets and in economic development and his contacts at the local, state, and federal levels would help Fort Madison to continue to move forward.
He touts a long list of efforts he has been a part of during his first 20 months as mayor: Siemens coming to Fort Madison, street improvements, and the new public library.
Ireland is the second candidate to file the paperwork to run for Mayor.
